6 INSTALLATION Loading the battery: One AAA 1.5V alkaline battery is used to power the unit. Wh en the battery indicator shows em pty please replace the battery. Take the cap off the MP3 Play er, then proceed to take the battery cover off. Ensure the correct polarity, put the battery inside and close the b attery compartment.
7 DRIVER SOFTWARE Windows 98 Under Windows98 drivers have to be installed. Do not connect the unit to your computer before the installation of the driver is finished. Insert the provi ded CD into your CDROM drive or get the dr iver from our web site. Double click on SETUP.
8 Connecting to a PC The MP3 player is connected to a PC with the provided USB cable. You will see a mass storage device with r em ovab le media symbol in My Computer after the unit has been recognized by t he operating system .
9 MODES There are certain modes and menus w e will ref er to in this manual, familiarizing ones self with these menus and modes will make o perating the ATMT Lite MP3 Player a breeze.
10 Stop Submenu This S ubmenu ca n be e ntered by pressing the “ M ode ” button when paused whilst playing MP3 or rec orded files, in either Music or Vo ice mode.
11 BASIC OPERATION Switching On and Off Use the Play/Pause button to switch on. To switch of f p ress the Play/Pause button for more than 3 seconds. Playback From the Menu select the M usic Mode option. Then pr ess down on the Mode button. Then press the Play/P ause button to start playbac k of MP3 files.
12 Previous/Next Slide the Mode button to the left or rig ht, depending if you want next or pr evious track. Hold When Hold in on all other keys on the MP3 Play er will be locked. Volume Select + or - on the Volume b utton depe nding on if y ou want to decrease or increase the sound.
13 Record Mode Go to the main menu. You can do this at any time by holding down the Mode button. Select the Rec ord Option. Record: Press the Pl ay/Pause button Pause Record: Press the Pl ay/Pause button Stop Record: Long Press of the Play/Pause button Playback Recorded File s Go to th e main menu.
14 Copying Files to ATMT L ite MP3 Player Seen from the PC’s side the ATMT Lite MP 3 Player is a normal mass stor age device. File transfer therefore is possi ble in the comm on way in Windows Explorer. Important Do not disconnect the unit while files are been copied.
15 SYSTEM SETTINGS Record time Set the time and date when recorded files are saved Backlight set the period of time (sec.) when Backlight stays on without any operation Language set different language.
16 Repeat (Playing Subme nu) When playing music and r ecorded f iles, d ifferent p lay modes can be sel ected. (Such as Repeat, shuffle etc.) The first option in Play Submenu is Repeat. Select Repeat and you will be able to change the play mode. The p layer will play f iles according to the m ode selected.
17 Lyric Display The ATMT Lite MP3 Player supports *.LRC lyric fi les and lyrics may be displayed sim ultaneously whilst playing music. Save the lyric file wit h the same name as that of the c orresponding music file. Eg: Music file name: Andy-Wat er.
