c50RP/c67RP , c50RX/c67RX Quick St ar t Guide 020-0629-00A This guide walks you through the basic setup needed to get your new Planar displays up an d running. Detailed information is contained in the Installation & Configuration Guide, which is in a CD-ROM on the back of this guide.
Product and Saf ety Inf orm ation The c50RP/c67RP , c50RX/c67R X are a family of digital moni- tors with a 50" (c50 RP or c50RX) or 67" (c67RP or c67RX) diag- onal screen size. The c50RP/c67RP is an SX GA+ format, with a 1400 x 1050 resolution.

7 Releasing the Optical Engine Releasing the Optical Engin e The c50R/c67 R is shipped with the optical eng ine in a locked- down position. Y ou must release it and put it in the operation position before you can align the image to the screen. Y ou no r- mally do this before you install the c50R/c67R in a wall.
8 Inst alling Screens Inst alling Screens 1 Using t wo people, remov e th e screen from the pack ing case. Grab near the corners as you lift the screen from the packing case. Note: W e suggest you save the screen packaging until the entire array is installed.
9 Connecti ng Source Cables Conn ecting Source Cables All cablin g for the c50R/c67R must be run through the rear of the display . Y ou can run cables as the ro ws go up or when the installation is complete.
10 Connect Po wer , T urn It On/Off Conn ecting P o w er , T urning It On/Off Each display may draw up to 2.0A at 115V or 1.0A at 230 V . F or countries outside of North America, it is the responsibility of the installer to pro vide the power supply cord cer tified for use in the destination country .
11 Using the Remote & Menus Using the Remote and Menus Using the Remote Control The remot e contr o l works much like a remote contro l for a T V or DVD player , but it does more. Among other things , it opens menus, changes values and moves the image.

F or analo g RGB pict ures, the levels for black and white var y from one computer to anot her , or from one video processor to another .

If not, you will ha ve to adjust by eye and the “f eel” of the picture.
15 Color Ba lancing Color Balancing f or Multiple Displays Color balancing makes the individua l displays in an array show the same colors . Colors vary slightly from one displa y to the next, because of slight variations in the lamps and DLP engines.

Never remove a lamp that is still lit. Cau ti on : In the dual-lamp system, it is possib le to remove and replace the lamp that is not being used while the other lamp is on.
