Setting the Unit Gain Control If the sound lev el is too low , ev en when the volume of the car stereo used along with this power amplif ier is turned up, turn gain control on the front of the power amplif ier clockwise. If the sound distorts when the volume is turned up, turn the gain control counter -clockwise.
Connecting the Power T erminal •A lw ays use the special red battery and ground wire [RD-223], which is sold separately . Connect the battery wire directly to the car battery positiv e terminal (+) and the ground wire to the car body . 1. Pass the battery wir e from the engine compartment to the interior of the vehicle.
Connecting the Unit CAUTION • Do not install in: — Places where it could injure the driv er or pas- sengers if the vehicle stops suddenly . — Places where it may interfere with the driv er , such as on the floor in front of the driv er’ s seat.
