Connection Diagram Connecting the Unit CAUTION • Disconnect the negati ve (–) terminal of the battery to av oid the risk of short-circuit and damage to the unit. • Secure the wiring with cable clamps or adhesiv e tape. T o protect the wiring, wrap adhesiv e tape around it where they lie against metal parts.
Connecting the Unit Connecting the Power T erminal •A lw ays use the special red battery and ground wire [RD-223], which is sold separately . Connect the battery wire directly to the car battery positiv e terminal (+) and the ground wire to the car body .
