9 En INSTALLATION 1) Turn OFF the computer’s po wer and remove the power cord from the wall outlet before removing the front cover. 2) Remove the blank panel from the front of the empt y 5.25” bay slot. 3) Install the slide rails on the drive if necessar y.
CONNECTIONS • T urn OFF the power to the computer. • Connect the co mputer’s power cable to the drive, checking the polarity of the cable. • Connect the co mputer’s IDE interface cable to the drive, confirming that cable’s Pin #1 is matched to the drive’s Pin # 1.
