5 Features The 10-port 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Switch was de signed for easy installation an d high performance in an en vironment where traffi c on the network a nd the num ber of users increase continuously. Switch features include: Ports ♦ Two 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethe rnet port (port 9 ~ 10).

7 ♦ Make s ure that there i s proper heat dissipat ion from and adequat e ventil ati on around the Swi tch. Do not place heavy objects on th e Switch. Desktop or Shelf Installation When installing the Switc h on a desktop or shel f, the rubber feet includ ed with the d evice must be first attached.
8 Rack Installation (optional) The 10-port 10/100/1000M bps Gigabit Ethe rnet Switc h can be m ounted in a n EIA standard size , 19-inch rack, whic h can be placed in a wiring clo set with o ther equipment. To install, attach the m ounting bra ckets on the s witch’s front panel (one on ea ch side ) and secure them with the scre ws provided.
9 Connecting Network Cable The Gigabit Et hernet Swi tch supports two 10/100/ 1000Mbps Gigabit Etherne t ports and ei ght 10/ 100Mbps Fast Ethernet ports. Port 1 to port 8 supports 10Mbps Ethe rnet or 100M bps Fast Et hernet. Port 9 to port 10 are Gi gabit Ethernet port, it supports 10Mbps , 100Mbps and 1000Mbps.
10 I DENTIFYING E XTERNAL C OMPONENTS This chapter describe s the front panel, rear pa nel and LED indicators of the Switch Front Panel The front panel of the Switch consist s of 8 10/100M bps Etherne t ports, 2 10/100/1000M bps Gigabi t Ethernet port , and LED indi cators.
