• 2 • GENERAL INFORMA TION The co ee machine is suitable for preparing espr esso co ees using co ee beans; it is equipped with a device to dispense steam and hot w ater . The structure of the machine with its elegant housing has been designed for domestic use only and is not suitable for continuous profession- al-type operation.

• 9 • This section explains how to use a milk container for the prepar ation of cappuc- cino or hot milk. Note: Before using the milk container , clean it thoroughly as described in section "Cleaning and Maintenance" . Note: The milk must be stored in the refrigerator and poured into the container only when preparing a cappuccino.
• 10 • • 10 • Green Green Green Dispensing Spout Adjust- ment Most cups on the market can be used with this co ee machine. The height of the dispensing spout ma y be adjusted to better t the dimensions of the cups that you wish t o use.
• 11 • Green Green Using Coff ee Beans • T o brew co ee, pr ess and release: the “ ” button to select the desired Aroma. the “ ” button for an espresso cof- fee; the “ ” button for a long co ee. • T hen, the brewing cycle starts.
• 12 • • 12 • Danger of scalding! Brewing may be preceded by small jets of hot water . Important note: Immediately after using the machine to brew a cappuccino, clean all compo- nents as described in the "Cleaning of the Milk Brewing System " section.

• 14 • Milk, even UHT milk, goes bad easily a t room temperature; therefore , it is recommended to DO NO T keep it at room temperature f or long periods.
• 15 • C L E A N I N G O F T H E M I L K B R E W I N G S Y S T E M After having br ewed milk for some times , turn the main knob to the right as for hot wa ter dispensing: the image "CLEAN + ” will appear . Place a container under the dispensing spout and push the upper link button t o start the cleaning operation.
• 16 • PERIODIC CLEANING Proceed as follo ws for the parts installed on the carafe. • Remo ve the carafe fr om the machine. • Lift the co ver and pa y attention tha t the wand does not splash the r emaining milk. • Remo ve the pin: - Rotate it counter-clockwise.

Whenever y ou wish, it is possible to brew a programmed amount of fr othed milk in your fav ourite cup .

• 24 • • 24 • General Cleaning • Empty and clean the coffee gr ounds draw er daily , with the machine turned on. • Maint enance and cleaning operations can only be carried out when the ma- chine is cold and disconnected from the power supply .
• 25 • Lubricate the Brew Group af- ter approxima tely 500 brew- ing cycles. The grease to lubricate the Brew Group may be purchased a t authorised service centres. • Lubrica te the br ew group guides using the supplied grease only . • Apply the grease ev enly on both side guides.
• 26 • • 26 • Limescale normally builds up with the use of the appliance. The display informs y ou when descaling is necessary: In case of conflic t, prior- ity must be given to wha t is indicated in the operation and maintenance manual ov er the in- structions provided on separately sold accessories and materials.
