4 Getting st arted Bat tery inst allation & char ging Install the battery as shown below. After installing the battery , place the remote dial pad in the char ger . F or optimal performance, charge the remote dial pad battery for at least six hours before use.

Getting st arted R emot e dial pad r egistr ation and de-r egistration The TL7601 remote dial pad all ows you to place phone calls with an A T&T DECT 6.0 cor dless headset system. Y ou must register it to the TL7610/TL7611/TL7650/TL7651 headset base before use.

T o r e m o v e t h e b e l t c l i p : Gently lift either of the belt clip retaining tabs, shown in the figure, to r emove the belt clip from the dial pad.

Options while on calls Call waiting If you subscribe to call waiting service with your local telephone servic e provider , you will hear a beep in the headset if there is an incoming call while you ar e already on a call.

18 T roubl eshooting T r oubleshooting • Reset the headset base. Unplug the electrical power of the headset base. Wait for appro ximately 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Follow the dir ections for remot e dial pad registration. • You ma y need a new dial pad battery .
T roubl eshooting T r oubleshooting 19 • Make sure the power cor d is securely plugged into the remot e dial pad charger , and the remot e dial pad is in the charger . Plug the charger power adapt er into a different working el ectrical outlet not controll ed by a wall switch.

T roubl eshooting T r oubleshooting My remote dial pad does not react when I receiv e a call. • Make sure that the remot e dial pad is regist ered to the headset base. • The remote dial pad may be too f ar from the headset base. Move it closer to the headset base within the operating range.

Y ou must subscribe to this service fr om your local telephone c ompany for this feature t o work on your telephone. • Your call er must be calling from an area that supports call waiting service.
