2 T elephone base and char ger installation If you subscribe to high-speed Internet servic e (Digital Subscriber Line - DSL) through your t elephone lines, you must install a DSL fil ter between the telephone base and the tel ephone wall jack. The filt er will prevent noise and caller ID problems caused b y DSL interf erence.
3 Bat t ery installation & char ging Install the battery as shown below. After installing the battery , you can make and receive short calls, but replace the handset in the telephone base or additional charger when not in use. For optimal performance, charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours before use.
