1 Install ation pr eparation If you subscribe to high-speed Internet service (Digital Subscriber Line - DSL) through your telephone lines, you must install a DSL filter between the telephone base and the telephone wall jack. The filter will prevent noise and caller ID probl ems caused by DSL interfer ence.
2 T elephone base and char ger inst allation If you subscribe to high-speed Internet servic e (Digital Subscriber Line - DSL) through your t elephone lines, you must install a DSL filt er between the telephone base and the tel ephone wall jack. The filter will pr event noise and caller ID problems caused b y DSL interfer ence.
3 Bat t ery installation & char ging Install the batt ery as shown below. Aft er installing the battery , you can make and receiv e short calls, but replace the handset in the tel ephone base or charger when not in use. For optimal performance, charge the handset batt ery for at least 16 hours bef ore use.
4 Quick r ef er ence g uide - handset REMOVE MENU / SEL TRANSFER CID/-VOLUME When in a menu, press to scroll down. When the phone is not in use, press to display call history entries. While entering names or numbers, press to move the cursor to the left.
