Befor e y ou begin This cordless telephone operates with the maximum pow er allowed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Even so , this handset and base can communicate ov er only a certain distance — which can var y with the locations of the base and handset, the weather , and the construc- tion of your home or off ice .
2 Batter y & charger installation After installation, place the handset in the charger and allow the bat- ter y to charge for 12 hours befor e use . Y ou can k eep the batter y charged by r eturning the handset to the charger after each use . When batter y pow er is fully depleted, a full recharge tak es about 10 hours.
Registering the handset Enter base ID , then press SELECT . HANDSET 2 Handset 1 Handset 2 Handset 3 3 Befor e using a new E560-1 handset, you must register it with the E5633 / E5630 / E5600 base. During registration, y ou must enter the 15-digit ID number of the telephone base.
Belt clip & optional headset Install belt clip as shown below if desir ed. For hands-fr ee telephone conversations, you can use an y industr y standard 2.5 mm headset (pur chased separately). For best results use an A T&T 2.5 mm headset. 4 Snap belt clip into notches on side of handset.
