5 WIND OWS 1 Insta ll the requ ired softwar e as fo llows. 1 Tur n on you r PC. 2 Place the provided CD-ROM (S-SW 8) in your PC CD-ROM drive. The [ PENT AX So ft ware Ins ta ller] scr een is d ispla yed . 3 Click y our ap plicable language. The sof t ware inst all ation se lecti on screen i s di spla yed.
6 WIND OWS 6 W ith the cam era turned off, conn ect the c amera to the PC using th e USB cable. Confirm that the CF card is inserted in t he camera. 7 Turn o n the camera. The des ktop scr een will disp lay [Fou nd n ew hard war e] (Wi ndow s XP ) or [N ew Ha rdwa re F ound] (Win dow s 98/ 98SE/2 000 ), an d th e U SB driver will b e installed.

13 WIND OWS 1 Doub le-click t he [Safely Rem ove Hardw are] icon in the tas k bar rec ogni zed a rea . 2 Click [PE NTAX US B DISK Device ] and cl ick [Stop]. 3 Click [PE NTAX US B DISK Device Drive] and c lick [OK]. 4 W hen a message is displa yed perm ittin g remov al, turn the cam era off and disco nnect the USB cab le fro m yo ur camera a nd PC.
14 MACINTOSH Vie wing Imag es on a Maci nt osh You can u se t he provi ded USB cabl e (I -USB2) or a card r eade r to se nd your i mages to the PC, and you can edit and print your images using the imag e viewing sof tware. 15 MACINTOSH 6 Click y our ap plicable lan gua ge. The sof t ware inst all ation se lecti on screen w ill appe ar . 7 Click [US B Dri ver]. The USB driver is inst alled. When in st alla ti on i s comp lete , reb oot your Macint osh . Once ACDSee ™ i s inst all ed, you can edi t and organize your pictur es on your PC.
