Ho w is this incredible perf ormance possible? The IntelliPr o VS-3050 is the f irst pump to use a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). But the r eal secret is the IntelliPr o’ s four settable and adjustable speeds (fr om 400 to 3450 GPM). That’ s how y ou optimize pump speed for the most eff icient ow possible.
4 Wa r n i n g s Befor e you begin pr ogramming, please read the important safety warnings belo w . • Never go inside the drive enclosure . The capacitor bank holds a 230 v olt char ge , even if there is no po wer to the unit. • Do not submer se the IntelliPro VS-3050 .
Impor tant Safety W arnings 5 Wiring The IntelliPro VS-3050 should be wired line side , i.e . directly to a 220V to 240V circuit breaker with a minim um 20 amp r ating or other source of “line” voltage supply . IntelliPro is designed for 230V applications only .
Contr ol P anel 1 2 3 6 Speed 1, speed 2, speed 3, and speed 4 button/LED: Press one of the speed buttons to select the desired preset pump speed. The pump preset speeds are: Speed 1 (750 RPM), Speed 2 (1500 RPM), Speed 3 (2350 RPM), and Speed 4 (3110 RPM).
Operator Contr ol P anel Stand-Alone Set-Up (no contr oller or appliance communicating with IntelliPr o VS-3050 ) The IntelliPro VS-3050 must be primed before star ting for the f ir st time. It may take sev er al minutes depending on water depth, pipe size , and length.
T ur n the pump clamp and lid in a counterclockwise direction until they stop, and remo ve . Fill the pump str ainer pot with water . Reinstall the pump clamp and lid onto the str ainer pot. The pump is no w ready to pr ime . Make sure all electrical connections are clean and tight.
Priming the IntelliPr o VS-3050 9 Ensure that the pump is pow ered on and the green power LED light is on. Press the Star t button to star t the pump. Press the Stop button.
Y ou can change these presets in 10 or 20 RPM increments. Each setting can be adjusted to r un at speeds between 400 RPM and 3450 RPM. T ypically the lower speeds are used f or f iltr ation and heating. The higher speeds can be used for spa jets, water features, and priming.
Obtaining the ideal ow for a given application is an audio-visual f eedback process, and may require some tr ial and er ror . When you ha ve eliminated ca vitation, and water is owing quietly and smoothly through the pump , y ou hav e ar r ived at the most eff icient speed setting.
W arnings and Alarms If an alar m condition occur s, the pump will stop r unning and the red LED will ash continuously to indicate the presence of an alarm.
