C1680M (1/06) 7 Product Overview DESCRIPTION The F T8301A miniature fiber transmitter provides the ability to transmit one composite video channel over one optical fiber . The F T8301A transmitter is compatible with the single-channel F R8301A and dual-channel FR8302A receivers.

Insert the power cable through ei ther of the two gland connectors on the enclosure, route the cable underneath the transmitte r toward the power connector on the transmitter , and then connect the cable to the power connector .
18 C1680M (1/06) MOUNTING THE T RANSMITTER INTO AN EH3512/EH3515 SERIES ENCLOSURE The following procedure provides instructions to mount the F T8301A transmitter into an existing EH3512/EH3515 Series enclosure installation. T o mount the transmitter into an EH3512/EH 3515 Series enclosure, do the following: 1.
C1680M (1/06) 19 8. Do the following (refer to Figure 9): a. Using the replacement gland supplied in the EH3500 Series accessory kit, attach the gland to either of the cable entry holes on the enclosure. Note that the replacement gland is shorter than the two gl ands provided for the enclosure.
