DESCRIPTION The Heavy-duty Spectra is perf ect for installations where structural integ r ity and v andalism are a pr iority . The system f eatures barrel ke y locks , heavy-duty construction and a thick acr ylic low er dome. The in-ceiling model has a reinf orced bracket mounting system f or installation in a fixed ceiling.
S INST ALLA TION IN-CEILING MODEL STEP 1 - PREP ARE CEILING 00530 a. Locate the center point of the mount- ing location. Drill a hole in the ceiling using a 3/32-inch drill. 00531 b. Insert the compass tool into the hole. Draw a circle on the ceiling using the compass tool and a pencil.
STEP 4 - WIRE CIRCUIT BOARD Attach the wiring to the circuit board inside the back box. When finished, close the door to the back bo x and turn on the power . The red LED will light. IMPORT ANT : If the LED does not light, ref er to the T rouble- shooting section .

TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Unit does not operate. The controller is not communicating with the Spectra unit. Check to see if the red LED on the circuit board in the back box is lit. 1. The red LED is not lit . a. Fuse is bad. b. 24 V AC pow er source is not con- nected or back box is bad.
