To switch your phone on ❶ Open the sl ide. ❷ Press the [ e ] key until the phone swit ches on. ❸ If you are asked to input your PIN (Pers onal Identificat ion Number), en ter your SIM c ard’s PIN and press the [ o ] key. (For further detai ls, see Securit y Settings on page 74.

Answering a call To answer a call When you re ceive a call, y our phone ring s (or vibrates) . If the call er can be iden tified, the cal ler’s phone num ber is displaye d (or the call er’s name, if i t is stored in your Contacts). ❶ To answer a call, open th e slide ❷ If your pho ne is already open, press the [ s ] key.

Entering T ext Input Mod e On many occ asions you need to input text while you are using y our phone (when storing a nam e in your Contacts, w riting a new m essage, creatin g your greeting or scheduli ng events on yo ur calendar, f or example). Yo u can select from the follow ing methods (m odes) of inputt ing text on you r phone.

ABC mode When typing in ABC mode, p ress the key labeled with the targe t letter once for the fir st letter; pres s it twice for the second lett er, and so on. Example: To display the l etter “C”, quic kly press the [ 2 ] key three t imes. To displa y the letter “ K”, press the [ 5 ] key twice.

Calendar is displayed as t he following v iews: Monthly View, Daily View, and Eve nt View & Edit. Press the [ Menu] Soft key then select 7. Organiser then select 2.Ca lendar. Mo nth ly Vi ew Calendar is displayed in t his view by de fault. Press the f ollowing keys t o move in Mont hly View.
Ev ent Vi ew & Ed it This functi on displays the events indivi dually and edit s the schedule or creates a new schedule. T o create a ne w event in Even t View & Edit: ❶ Select a da y in Monthly Vi ew then press the [New] Soft key. ❷ In the New Event screen, s elect and inpu t the details of the even t.
T o record a vo ice memo: ❶ Press the [ Option] Soft ke y then select 1.New then press the [ ] key. ❷ Press the [ ] key to sto p recording, t hen press the [Play] Soft key to hear yo ur voice memo. ❸ Press the [ ] key then in put a name then press the [ o ] key to sa ve your voice m emo.
