So, be careful of electrostatic breakdo w n during repair of the optical magnetism head unit.

Measurements and A djsutments Note: A fter replacing the main components (optical pickup or tra v erse motor, etc.) of mechanism unit block, change to the adjust mode, and then perform the “laser po w er adjustment”, “off-set auto- adjustment” and “pla y back-onl y disc/magneto-optical disc auto-adjustment”.
Note: For use of M D cartridge t y pe laser po w er meter, remo v e the intermediate cabinet before perform the laser po w er adjustment (as for the method of disassembl y , refer to “5. Operation checks and main component replacement procedures”.
*In the displa y of T 0E** ~ T FE** sho w n abo v e, y ou must adjust T 0E**, T 1E**, T 2E** and T 3E**. You must perform the adjustment b y obser v ing the order T 0E** T 1E** T 2E** T 3E**. 6.2.2. Laser Po w er A djustment A djust each laser po w er: read po w er for reading (pla y ) and w rite po w er for w riting (record).
1. Ha v e “ T 0E** ” indicated on displa y , and mo v e the optical pickup to the most inside (onl y w hen a MD cartridge t y pe laser po w er meter is used). 2. Set the laser po w er meter. [For use of stick t y pe laser po w er meter.] 2-1 Unco v er the laser po w er meter.
5. Perform the read po w er adjustment. Set the light po w er at 600 W ±10 % b y using VOL+, VOL- , EQ and PL A Y MODE ke y s of the remote controller. In the laser po w er adjustment, EQ and PL A Y MODE ke y s change e v er y 8 steps for VOL+ and VOL- ke y s change 1 step.
4. When it ends normall y , “0FOK” is displa y ed on LCD of remote control and a main part. It is set to “0FNG” at the time of abnormalities. 5. Press the PL A Y ke y of the remote controller (change the displa y of the LCD to “ T 1E** ” , off-set automatic adjustment w ill be finished.
LCD. If it is abnormall y , it changes to “00NG ”. 5. Press the PL A Y ke y (“00OK ” or “00NG ” changes to “ T 3E** ”, pla y back-onl y disc adjustment is finished.). Note: When “00NG” is displa y ed, check “7. T roubleshooting Guide” in order.
