29 Previous screen Press PO WER Button on the LCD Projector or remote control unit. 1 The power indicator will flash, then turn solid green and a picture will be projected onto the screen. The LCD Projector cannot be turned on for 60 seconds after tur ning it off .

33 Previous screen The projection mode used b y the projector can be changed in accordance with the setting-up position. Y ou ma y select from two direction types . At the time of shipment from the f actor y , the projector is set to the “ F ront ” projection mode , b ut this can be changed if required.
34 Previous screen Setting the Screen T ype This LCD Projector is compatible with wide screen (16:9 r atio). If a wide screen is used and y ou set the screen type to 16:9 in order to project a wide (16:9) picture to fill the entire screen, pictures are correctly projected within the screen when projecting older (nor mal) 4:3 ratio pictures .

48 Previous screen Adjusting the White Balance The picture ma y become ov er-saturated with red or blue color , and the white color ma y not be at the desired deg ree of whiteness. In such cases, adjust the white balance b y the f ollo wing procedure .

50 Previous screen This LCD Projector allows input of RGB or YP B P R signals (Component input signal) to the RGB/YP B P R input terminal, but y ou will need to change the setting of the input signal selection manually when changing the signal to be input.
51 Previous screen The function which displa ys the currently selected input signal on the screen can be tur ned off b y the f ollowing procedure. F reeze displa ys will also be turned off. The procedure and on-screen displa y as sho wn belo w are based on RGB as the input signal from a personal computer .
52 Previous screen The po wer sa v e function operates as f ollows: If the projector continues projecting f or 15 minutes or more while there is no input signal to be projected, the light source will shut off automatically to sa v e pow er . And, the projector will enter standb y mode.
53 Previous screen When a signal less than 800 X 600 dots signals is input, the LCD Projector automatically enlarges the image to 800 X 600 dots . This ma y cause picture quality degration. F or better image , select Expansion: OFF by the f ollo wing procedure .
54 Previous screen K e ystone correction function When the screen and projector are not le v el, a k e ystone (trapez oid) image ma y occur . This can be corrected by doing the f ollowing. 3 Press or to adjust the K eystone . • procedure 1 Project a picture onto the screen.
55 Previous screen • When k eystone is corrected, the screen becomes smaller . • The LCD Projector detects whether the Simple Stand is down or up and automatically corrects k e ystone distor tion when the KEYST ONE Button is pressed. 62 Previous screen • Cooling fan malfunction. • Misinstalled Air Filter Unit or Lamp cover. • Temperature Sensor malfunction. • Clogged air filter. • Blocked air intake. • The surrounding temperature of the place of use may be too high. • If the Lamp will not light after turning on the main power 2 or 3 times, the Lamp may be damaged.
63 Previous screen Cleaning the Air Filter Air Filter The air filter should be cleaned about e v ery 100 hours. Also , clean the air filter if the “ A-0 ” is indicated in the ST A TUS Code displa y . Replace the filter when it is clogged or dir ty e v en after cleaning.
64 Previous screen • The LCD Projector pow er cannot be turned on unless the Air Filter unit is correctly installed. • Using with the air filter sponge remo v ed will result in dir t and dust being dra wn in and lead to malfunction. 3 Clean the Filter .
65 Previous screen Lamp replacement period The LCD Projector lamp has a limited operating lif e of approximately 2 000 hours. If lamp operation time e xceeds 1 900 hours , “ L-1 ” is display ed as the ST A TUS Code . “ Lamp replacement is recommended.
66 Previous screen In case lamp time reaches 2 000 hour s The LCD Projector will shut itself OFF and the ST A TUS Code indication becomes “ L-0 ” . • If the Lamp is not replaced, tur ning PO WER on will only cause the screen at right to be display ed f or 5 min utes .
67 Previous screen RGB Signals that can be Input The projection mode will be matched automatically to one of the modes which ha v e been pre-set inside the Projector . If a signal which diff ers g reatly from any of the types listed belo w is input, the picture image ma y not be displa yed correctly , or a b lue bac kground ma y be displa yed.
