14 Connection to a Stereo Amplifier In addition to the connections descr ibed on the pre vious page, connect the MONIT OR OUT (A V3 OUT) sockets to the Amplifier using an A V cable .

18 Photoshot Index Sear ch System Photoshot inde x signals are automatically recorded when a Panasonic Digital Video Camera is used f or photo shot shooting. Photo shot images are searched using these signals, and when such an image is located, the image is pla yed bac k as a still picture.

20 Using the VCR with a Computer The P ersonal Computer Connection Kit VW-DT A9/10E (Optional) for Digital Video Equipment performs it possible to connect the VCR to a computer and transmit still video images to it. 25 Preparations for Editing Editing Functions Copying Allows the re-recording (cop ying) of the picture and sound from one tape onto another tape. Video Insert Allows the partial replacement of the picture on a recorded tape. Sound is left in its original state.
26 Audio Dubbing Allows the addition of the new sound on the STEREO2 track of a recorded tape . The original sound is left on the STEREO1 track . Audio Mixing Allows the mixing of the original sound on the STEREO1 tr ac k with the new sound from the externa l recording source and recording the mixed sound on the STEREO2 tr ac k of a recorded tape .

54 Edit Timing Adjustment Programme Editing After setting edit start/end points, the actual editing operation may start slightly before or slightly after the position that was set, depending on the equipment that is connected.

58 Time code Time Code signals are time data that is recorded on the tape. The time is e xpressed in units of hours (h), minutes (m), seconds (s) and frames (f) (25 fr ames/ sec). Time codes are recorded concurrently while the video is being recorded.
