- 4 - Placement of the Oven Locate the ov en on a smooth, flat and stable surf ace. There should be no gap between the tab le surface and the bottom of the ov en. Do not place the oven in a hot or damp area, ie. near a stov e, sink or directly abov e heat lamps on a ser ving line.

- 6 - This ov en monitors its operation and displa ys a F ailure Code in Digital Displa y Window when a prob lem occurs. What to do when a Failure Code appear s: When “F ” is displa yed, remov e the plug, wait 5 seconds , and reinser t. If “F” is display ed again, call the ser vice agent.

- 25 - MICR O W A VE B ASICS Fundamental principles deter mine the success of microw av e food prepar ation. They include: TEMPERA TURE OF FOODS 1. – F rozen or refrigerated food items will require longer heating times to reach a desired ser ving temperature than f oods from room temperature.
- 26 - APPETIZERS Quantities of appetizers can be prepared con ventionally in advance and refrigerated until needed. Most appetizers , with the exception of “nacho” platters and potato skins, should be heated co vered. Appetizers of the same basic shape and size can be reheated together .
- 27 - B AKED GOODS AND DESSERTS Breads, pastries and pies should be heated uncov ered, at HIGH power . The y should be placed on absorbent material, such as a napkin or paper towel to pre vent sogginess. DO NO T O VERHEA T breads and pastr ies. Baked goods should only be heated until the crust feels w ar m to the touch (120˚F-130˚F).
- 28 - BREAKF AST All f oods listed are prepared in advance and reheated at HIGH power from refrigerated temper atures (40˚F). Most breakf ast foods are heated co vered to retain moisture, with the e xception of breads and pastries, which should be heated uncov ered on absorbent material such as a napkin or paper towel to pre vent sogginess.

- 31 - GRA VIES, SA UCES AND SOUPS Some water-based gr avies , sauces and soup mixes ma y be prepared in large por tions using this oven to heat water and thic ken the b lended mixes . Refrigerated gra vies, sauces and soups can be reheated quickly at HIGH and requires stirring during heating to produce an e ven temperature .
- 32 - PLA TED MEA T AND POUL TR Y ENTREES Meat and poultr y can be reheated successfully in this ov en. Undercook meat slightly . Arrange meat or poultry slices in single la yer , overlapping pieces as little as possible . CA UTION P ork products must be fully cooked prior to reheating.
- 33 - RICE AND P AST A F or best results: reheat cov ered at HIGH power . Adding moisture, such as a sauce , can facilitate reheating though its not essential. Rice and pasta dishes with cheese sauce, require more stirring than tomato-based sauces to av oid ov er- heating and stringiness of cheese.
- 34 - SAND WICHES Preassembled sandwiches can be heated quic kly and easily in this microw av e ov en. For best results, assemble sandwiches no more than 3 hours in advance . Meat fillings such as hamburgers and sausage should be precooked and pref erab ly not be more than 1 ⁄ 2 inch thick.
- 35 - VEGET ABLES Most vegetab les, small and b ulk por tions, defrost, heat, and cook very successfully in the microwa v e, retaining fresh color and te xture as well an nutritional value . The thick er and more fibrous the vegetab le, the longer the cooking time.
