Getting S tarted 8 Understa nding the indi cators on the bas e unit ST A TUS indicator During the startup process you may notice that the ST A TUS indicator on t he base unit is flashing. This indicates that the base unit is booting up with your phone system.

The last 4 digits of the line number on which the call is being received are displayed. 1 Lift the handset and press { CALL } , {C} , or {s} when the unit rings.

If you receive a call while on the phone, t he 2nd caller’s information is displayed on the handset that is in use after you hear the int errupt tone (page 28).

Useful Information 48 Belt clip W all mounting Charger 1 Drive the screws (not supplied) into the w all. 2 Mount the charger ( A ), then slide it down ( B ) and to the right ( C ) until it is secure. Note: L Make sure that the wall is s trong enough to support the weight of the unit.
Useful Information 49 Base unit (KX-TGP 500) 1 Remove the base unit stand by pushing ( A ) and sliding down ( B ). 2 Mount the base unit by inserting the screws (not supplied) into t he round openings on the unit, then slide the unit down to secure it.

Remove the bat teries from the handset, and then insert the batteries into the handset again.
