30 VQT1N58 Recording (Basic) 1 Before recording ∫ Basic camera positioning ≥ When you are outdoors, record pictur es with t he sunlight behind you. If t he subject is backlit, it will become dark in the recording. ≥ When recording, make sure your footing is stable and t here is no danger of colliding with another person or object .
31 VQT1N58 If the unit continues to be tilted upside down from the normal horizontal position while recording motion pictures, it is automatically put into recording pause.
32 VQT1N58 Recording (Basic) 2 Recordin g motion picture s This unit records high definition images that are compatible with the A VCHD format o n an SD card. Sound is recor ded with the Dolby Digital 5.1 Creator. Use an SD card that can be used for motion picture recording.
33 VQT1N58 ≥ The images recorded between pressing the recording start/stop button to start recording and pressing it again to p ause recording become one scene. ≥ When about 5 m inutes have passed without any oper ation in recording pause, the unit automat ically turns off to prevent the battery from running down.

76 VQT1N58 ∫ T o watch i mag es with a 16: 9 aspect ratio on a re gular TV (4:3) When playing back motion pictures or still pictures recorded on this unit with a 16: 9 aspect ratio on a TV with a 4: 3 aspect ratio, the images on the screen may be squeezed horizontally .
