4 GR OUNDING INSTR UCTIONS This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding pro vides a path of least resistance f or electr ic current to reduce the risk of electr ic shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.

9 Setting up the massage lounger 1 Where to use the unit Ensure there is adequate space to recline. Caution Do not use the unit in areas with high humidity , such as the bathr oom , because this can lead to electric shock or other accidents. Place the unit on a totally flat surface.
10 Confirm that the main unit and the accessories are in the bo x. Main unit Accessories • Armrests (Right/Left) Left/Right indication Air plug Small holes on the inside fabric are an intentional part of the functional design.
11 1 Attaching the armrests (On both the right and left sides) 1. Insert the armrest into the unit. Be careful to av oid pinching your fingers . • Assembl y 2. Fasten the armrest with the attachment screws. Set the two attac hment screws in place b y hand first and then tighten firmly with the allen ke y .
12 3 Attaching the contr ol panel stand to the right or left side panel of the unit (Diagram shows attac hment to right armrest.) The position of the control panel when seated can be selected by choosing the appropriate hole f or the screw . Near Appro x.
13 When remo ving the control panel stand co ver 1. Insert the head of a flat-tip screwdriver in the gap under the mark (O). 2. Push the bottom tab of the cover up to lift the co ver . 3. P erform the same procedures as 1 and 2 abo ve for the other gap.
14 Mo ving the control panel cor d to the left side (when control panel stand is on left side) 1. Press the button on the contr ol panel to turn on the power . 2. Press the button on the contr ol panel and hold until the legrest has risen far as it will go.
15 7 Attaching the pillo w 1. Attach the pillow to the velcr o fasteners. See page 37 f or a guide to the position of the pillow Pillow V elcro fasteners • 2. Fasten the contr ol panel cord using the c lip. Clip Control panel cor d Fasten the cor d so that the portion under the clip is not slack.

17 3. Make sure the massage heads are in the retracted position. Caution Sit on the unit after confirming the massage heads are in the retracted position.
18 Pr ogram Massages Pre-Program Quic k Massage 1 Press the b utton to turn on the power . The power will turn off automatically if the massage does not star t within 3 minutes after turning on the power . 2 Press one of the flashing b uttons ( ) to select the pr ogram.
19 1. Body scanning will commence when the pr ogram is selected. The body scanning will properly detect height ranges between appro ximately 4'7" and 6'8" (140 and 185 cm). 1 2 3 4 Sit as far back in the seat as possible with y our head on the pillow .

22 Creating Self-Pr ograms Self-Program Self-Program The Self-Program allo ws you to create a massage where you determine the time and intensity in neck, shoulders , back, and lower bac k by selecting from le vels 0 (no massage) to 3 (longest and most intense).
23 3 Set the time and intensity f or the neck, shoulder , back, and lower bac k, respectively ( ). The le vel shifts sequentially whene ver the b utton is pressed. Display Ho w to shift the level Press the button to shift the le v els for “NECK, ” “SHOULDER, ” “MIDDLE, ” and “LO WER” by one up/do wn at the same time.

28 Adjusting the intensity The intensity ma y not change immediately if the button is pressed in the middle of an action. Display For the Pre-Program, Quic k Massage , and Self-Program The intensity can be adjusted in 3 steps.
29 Details about the massage style Thumb-like action Massage head mov ement is fir m with only the upper massage heads moving so that the y act like two thumbs . This is shiatsu style massage of acupoints. • P alm-like action Appro x. 20˚ The massage heads remain spread apar t, forming a palm which gently presses against the back.
30 Air Massage Adjustments Air Massage When a pre-program and quic k massage are selected, the air massage f or ar m, seat, leg/foot are all automatically turned on. When Self-Program and Man ual Operation are selected, the air massage f or all par ts is turned off.
31 Adjusting the Legrest length Adjust the legrest so that y our feet fit snugl y . For a person who is smaller: If the legrest is raised up , the fit with your leg and sole of y our f oot will be better . Press the button. • For a person who is tall: Push the legrest out b y pulling back on the legrest slide le ver .
32 Arm Massage Caution Remove har d objects, such as false fingernails, wristwatc hes, or rings when massa ging the hands or arms. F ailure to do so ma y result in injur y . • P osition the f orear m and hand at the center of the ar mrest. Insert the hand all the way inside.
33 Using the stretch massa ge W arning Make sure there are no people or pets behind the unit when the arm stretch function is turned “on. ” F ailure to obser ve this precaution ma y result in accident or injury . • Caution Do not use with any pre-e xisting condition of shoulder injury .
34 Ottoman and Bac krest height adjustment Adjusting the rec lining angle and the angle of the legrest 1 Press the b utton to turn on the power . 2 Press the or b utton to adjust the angle . Mov ement will continue until a “beep-beep-beep” sound is heard if the b uttons are held down.
35 Extending out the legrest 1 Slide the legrest to y our fav orite position b y pulling the legrest slide lever . (The legrest will slide appro ximately 5" (12 cm).) Pull the legrest slide lever bac k. Push with soles of feet and the legrest slides out.
36 Adjusting the v oice guidance v olume Press the button to adjust the v olume . V olume Display “Off ” “Soft” “Medium” Default Setting “Loud” The single beep (when a button is pressed) and the triple beep (when the adjustable setting limit is reached) will alwa ys be audible.

38 Ad v anced user memor y function The user memor y function retains the adjustments f or a massage, such as “REPEA T” function or “BA CK INTENSITY , ” so that the massage will star t with the sav ed settings. Saving the user pr ogram settings See page 39 f or the settings that can be saved.
39 Settings that can be saved The latest settings entered by the user during programs or man ual operation will be sav ed. For Pre-Program, Quick Massa g e, and Self-Program Settings other than the massage style will be sav ed as common settings.
40 Erasing saved data 1 Press the b utton to turn on the power . The power will turn off automatically if the massage does not star t within 3 minutes after turning on the power . 2 Press the b utton corresponding to the settings you wish to delete. Only the button pressed will illuminate .
41 After completing the massage The massage will be completed in appro ximately 15 minutes. For a quick massage, 5 min utes. Since the f oot section pivots, the leg rest will retur n to a down and retracted position so that y ou can safely sit up . T o return the back of the c hair to the original position, press the b utton twice.
42 Disconnecting the power W arning After use, always slide the po wer switch to the “off ” position, turn the loc k switch to the “lock” position and remove the lock s witch key . F ailure to obser ve this precaution ma y result in accident or injury due to children playing with the controls.
43 Cleaning and Maintenance Caution Alwa ys unplug the unit before cleaning it. Never touch a power plug with wet hands. F ailure to f ollow these instructions may lead to electrical shock or b ur ns. • Areas co vered with synthetic leather Wipe these areas with a soft, dry cloth.
44 Mo ving the Unit Caution Alwa ys return the legrest to its original position before moving the unit. F ailure to obser ve this precaution ma y result in injury due to the legrest retur ning to its original position when the unit is being mov ed. Do not move the unit while someone is seated in it.
45 Using the wheels to mo ve the unit Mov e the unit by holding onto the f abric section on the underside of the legrest and using the wheels. Fabric section Roll the unit slowl y Place the control panel on the seat. Place a mat on the floor to av oid damaging the floor .
46 TR OUBLE SHOO TING Prob lem Cause and Remedy Motor Noises It sounds and f eels like the massage heads are straining to get ov er wrinkles in the cloth. The motor groans when it comes under load. There is e xcessive noise during T apping. (The noise is greater at the top of the massage lounger .
