1 Overview This docum ent contains step-by-step disass em bly i nstructions for the Easy Note W 7 (Dragon SN) chass i s. 2 Hazardous Vol tage There is hazar dous voltage p resent inside the com puter when it is connect ed to an AC supply, even w hen the com puter’ s pow er sw itch i s off.

4 Battery a nd AC Adapter To rem ove the battery, d o as follow s: 1. Turn off the com puter. 2. Disconn ect the AC ad apter. 3. Rem ove the batte ry. Removing the Hard Disk Drive To rem ove the hard disk d rive, perform the follow in g steps: 1. Remove two screws (2 xA) from the HDD cove r (as sh ow n in Fig.
5 Bottom Panel Perform the follow ing steps to remove the bott om panel: 1. Rem ove nine screw s (9xA) and take aw ay the bottom panel. 2. Rem ove the m e m ory m odule. 3. Lift out th e TV Tuner M i n i-PCI card from its slot. 4. Disconn ect the antenna cable and the tw o data cables.
6 7. Remove the screw s (2xA) from the m ode m . 8. Release the ground cable and tak e aw ay the m ode m . 9. Disconnect the m odem cable from the m ode m. CP U, V GA Module an d Heat S ink To rem ove the heat s in k from the CPU and th e VGA M obi le PC I Express M odul e (MX M) follow the steps below : 1.
7 6. Re m ove the screw from the VGA m odul e (1xT). 7. Pull the VGA m odul e out of the MXM slot. 8. Unlock the CPU socket an d rem ove the CPU. Top Cover Rem ove the top cover by f ollow in g the steps b elow: 1. Slide the button bar to the left to unlock it.

9 Removing the LC D Panel Asse mbly Follow the steps below to remove the LCD pa nel : 1. Disconnect the two LCD connectors. 2. Release the W ireless antenna ca ble. 3. Rem ove the screws (4xF) from the hinges (see Fig. 13). 4. Take away the LCD assem bl y.

11 15. Rem ove the screws (3x D, 1xA) from the l eft L CD bracket. The sam e goes for the right bracke t. Fig. 1 8 LCD di sp lay cabl e. 16. Take away the top, left and right bracket from the LCD display pane l. 17. Rem ove the screws (2xD) holding the w ireles s antenna and take away the antenna.

13 Bottom Base Asse mbly Disassem bl e the bottom base assembly as fo llows: 1. First remove the screw s (4XA) from the top cover. 2. Then rem ove the screws (4xJ). No te: Mak e su re tha t du ring re -as se mbl y the c lips o f the top co ve r loc k i nto plac e be fore fas tenin g the scre ws.
14 4. Re m ove the screws from the rear (2x B). 5. Remove bottom cover from base assem bl y. 6. Disconnect the s ubwoofer conn ector. 7. Rem ove the screws (2x G) and lift out the s ubw oofer assem bl y. 8. Re m ove the rubber stab ili z ers (2x M) fro m the subwoofer assem bl y.
15 8. Take away the m ain board. 9. Partially rem ove the foil over the to uchpad. 10. Disconnect the touchpad cable. 11. Remove the screws (3xB) and rem ove the heat plate. 12. Push out the touchpa d assem bly. Fig. 2 6 The mai n board and speake rs .
