32 Chapter 2 BIOS Flash Utilities The BIOS Flash memory upd ate is required for th e following conditions: • New versions of system programs • New features or options • Restore a BIOS when it becomes corrupted. Use the Flash utility to update the system BIOS Fla sh ROM.

42 Chapter 3 Pre-disassembly Instructions Before proceeding with the disassembly procedure, make su re that you do the following: 1. T urn off the power to the system and all peripherals. 2. Unplug the AC adapter and all power and signal cables from the system.
Chapter 3 43 Disassembly Process IMPORT ANT : The LCD Module cannot be disassembled outside of facto ry conditions. If any part of the LCD Module is faulty , such as the camera, antenna or LCD panel, the whole module must be replaced.
