2 IN TRODUCTION Your Optim us AMX-10 S tereo Ampli- fied Spea kers are s pecially designed fo r use with computer multimedia sys- tems. The spe akers’ magnetic s hield allows you to pl ace them next to your PC’s m onitor without causing picture distortion.
3 Notes: • If yo u will no t be using the sp eak- ers for a week or more, or if you will be using only AC or vehicle battery power , r e move the batter- ies fro m each speak er . • If the speak ers ’ sound weakens or distorts, or the power indicator dims during use, replace all the batteries in both s p eakers .
4 Usin g V eh icle Ba ttery Pow er You can p ower the speakers from your vehicle’s c igarette-lighter socket using a DC adapte r (no t supplied), such as RadioShack Cat. No. 270- 1562. Cautio ns: • The recommended adapt er sup- plies 12 volts DC power and deliv- ers at lea st 600 m illiamps.
5 CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS You can connec t the amplified sp eak- ers to the au dio source’s headphone or line out ja ck. Cautio n: To protect your hearing , set VOLUME MIN/MAX to i ts mi ni mum lev- el. Follow these s teps to c onnect the speakers t o your aud io s ource.
