4 G etting Star ted With the Onkyo RI Dock, y ou can easily play the music stored on your Apple * iP od * through y our Onkyo audio system and enjoy great sound, and watch iP od slideshows and videos on your TV .
5 G etting Started —Continued ■ A djusting the iP od Adapter T he iP od adapter needs to be adjusted to match your particular iPod . Insert your iPod int o the RI Dock. If there’ s a gap between the back of your iP od and the adapter , turn the adapter c ounterclock- wise to close the gap .

9 U sing the RI Dock S et the OSD (onscreen display) mode bef ore you start using the RI Dock. 1. Plug in the AC adapter . 2. Tu rn on your T V and amp, and selec t the appropriate inputs on your T V and amp . 3. Insert your iPod into the RI Dock. 4. U se the remote contr oller ’ s [MODE] button to set the OSD mode.
10 U sing the RI Dock —C ontinued ■ U sing the P age Modes With the page modes, you can quickly locate your fav orite songs even when y our song lists, artist lists, and so on are ver y long. T here are f our page modes: L , M , S , and P . T hese stand for Large, Medium, Small, and Page.

U se the Up and Down arrow [ ]/[ ] but- t ons to select “Settings,” and then press the [SELECT ] button.
12 U sing the RI Dock —C ontinued ■ U sing Y our iPod’ s Alarm Clock Y ou can use your iPod’ s Alarm Clock func tion to automatically turn on your iP od and amp at a specified time. Y our amp’ s input source will automatically be set to the input to which your iPod is c onnected.
13 U sing the RI Dock —C ontinued T he following table sho ws which buttons on your amp ’ s remote controller you can use to contr ol your iP od while it’ s in the RI Dock. Be sure to select the appropriate remote mode first, and point y our remote contr oller at your amp .
14 Tr oubleshooting ■ There ’ s no sound •M ake sure your iPod is actually playing . •M ake sure your iPod is inserted properly in the RI Do ck. •M ake sure the RI Dock is connected to the correct input jacks on your amp . Do not connec t it to any output jacks.
