3 Precaut ions 1. Recor ding Co pyright —Unless it’s for personal use only , recording copyrighted material is illegal without the permission of the copyright holder . 2. AC Fuse —The AC fuse inside the unit is not user- serviceable. If you cannot turn on the unit, c ontact your Onkyo dealer .

5 Feature s Profess ional manual record player with a focus on sound q uality This is a manual player with simple functions that is designed with the highest prio rity placed on the sound quality for playing analog records. In terms of operations, usability is ensured with fittings such as a lifter for lowering and raising the t one arm.
6 Names and func tions o f p art s POWER button ( ON/ OFF): Press this button to turn the unit on or off . Speed selector button (33/45): Set this butt on according to the record’ s playing speed. Center spindl e Rubber mat Tu r n t a b l e Counterwe ight: Use this to balance the tone arm and to adjust the stylus pressure.
7 Assembly and inst allation 1. Mounti ng the turnt able and rubber mat 1. Insert the tur ntable onto t he center spindle. 0 Handle the turnt able with care so t hat it does not drop onto or hit the unit, tone ar m, etc. 2. Lay the rubber mat on top. 2.
8 Prep arator y adjustmen t s The horizontal balance of the tone arm needs to be adjusted f irst in order to ensure that an appropriate styl us pressure is applied on the record. Carry out the adjustment with the power turned off. 1. Set the anti-skating knob to “0”.
9 Preparatory adjustments First turn the scale of the stylus pressure temporarily to “0” in a horizont ally balanced state, and then adjust the stylus pressu re. If the styl us pressure is too high or too low , the record may not be played back co rrectly , or t he stylus life may be shortened, or the r ecord may be damaged.
10 Connections 1. Connecti on with t he amplifier Connect the supplied pin c ables wit h attached grounding to the PHONO OUTPUT terminals on t he rear panel of the unit and the PHONO input t erminals of the amplifier . Connect the red plug to the R terminal and the white pl ug to the L t erminal respectively .
11 Playin g reco rds 1. Press the POWER button to turn on the power supply . The indicator of the speed selector button light s up. 2. Put a record on the r ubber mat. 0 If i t is a rec ord with a large hole, fit the supplied adapter for 45 rpm reco rds into the center spindle.
12 T roubleshooting The uni t doe s n ot turn on. 0 Confirm that the power plug is securely plugged in to an outlet. 0 Set the POWE R button t o the OF F state by pressing it once and then se t it t o the ON state by pressing it again aft er wait ing for 5 seconds or longer .
13 Handling Handling an d mainte nance of sty lus T ake due care when handling the stylus as the stylus t ip is extremely delicate. Remove any dust att ached to the stylus tip using a brush with a sof t tip by br ushing from the base of the stylus towards the end.
