4 2. Prep aration 2.1 Inst alli ng/Replaci ng the Batteries 1. Remove the battery cover . 2. Insert four “AA” batteries as indicated in the battery comp artment and then replace the battery cover . Not es: • If the ba ttery low symb ol ( ) appea rs on the display , turn the unit of f then replace al l batteries at the same time.

7 3. Using the Unit EN 3.2 How to Sit Correctly T o take a meas urement , you need to be relax ed and com fortably seate d, under comfor table room temp erature. No eating, smoking or exerc ising 30 mi nutes befo re taking a m easurem ent. • Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor .

11 3. Using the Unit EN • Y our blood pr essure m onitor includes an irre gular heartbeat feature. Irregular hear tbeats can influence the results of t he measur ement. The irregular heartbeat algorithm automatically determines if the m easurement is usable or needs to be repeated.
12 3. Using the Unit 3.4 Using the Memo ry Func tion The m onitor automa tically stores th e result up to 60 sets for each us er (A and B ). It can al so calc ulate an a verage re ading bas ed on the m easurem ents from the last three rea dings taken within 10 minute s.

Wait 2-3 minutes and then take another measurement. Repeat the steps in section 3.3. If thi s error continues to appea r , contact your docto r .

16 4. Troub leshoot ing a nd Maint enance 4.2 T roubles hootin g Problem Cause Remedy The reading is extremely low (or high). Arm cuff not applied correctly . Apply the arm cuff correctly . Refer to section 3.1. Movement or talking during measurement.
17 4. Troub leshoot ing a nd Maint enance EN Nothing happens when you pres s the buttons. The batteries are empty . Replace the batteries with new ones. Refer to section 2.1. The batteries have been inserted incorrectly . Insert the batteries with the corr ect (+/-) polarity .
18 4. Troub leshoot ing a nd Maint enance 4.3 Maintenance T o protect y our uni t from dam age, please o bserve the follo wing: • Do not subject the main unit and the cuf f to extreme te mperatures, humidity , moisture or direct sunlight. • Do not fold the cuff or tubing tightly .
