EN 16 En Open t h e Cas e 1 Slide and hold the slide lock towards the arrow directi on (1 of figure below) and tur n the open/ close dial co unte r cloc kwise ( 2 of f igure belo w). 2 Turn the open/c lose dial to t he posi t ion where it ca nnot be turned further.

EN 19 En Perform the final ch ecks Visual Inspection After seali ng the Cas e, check t he sealing par t of fr ont and re ar lid visuall y to confirm tha t the O- ring is not twist ed or out of the groove and tha t no foreign mat ter has been caught. Als o check that t he Case is not broken or cracked.

Wash t he Case with pure water After use, seal the Case again after t aking out t he camera and was h it sufficie nt ly in pure water as soon as possible .
EN 24 En 6. Maintaining the W at er proof Function Wheneve r you open the re ar lid of the Case , alway s be sure to perf orm the O-ring maint enance oper ation as des cribed belo w. Perform at the locat ion witho ut sand or d ust, af ter washing and drying y our hands.
EN 25 En Remove any for eign matter ad hered t o the O-ri ng groove us ing a lint -free clean c loth or cot ton s wab. A lso remov e an y sand o r dirt adhe red to the O-ring con tact surfa ce on the fro nt lid of t he case.
EN 26 En How to A pply Greas e to the O-r ing 1 Apply the exclusi ve lubricant to each O-ring. Make sure tha t your fingers and the O-ring are free of dirt, and squeeze about 5 mm of lubricant onto a finger. (5 mm is the most appr opriate am ount.) 2 Spread the lu bricant all over the O -ring.
EN 27 En Install the O-rin g Confirm tha t no f oreign mat t er is ad hered, apply a thi n coat of th e gre ase provided to the O-ri ng, and fit t he O-ring in to the groov e. At this point , confirm that the O-ring does not stick out from t he gro ove.
