English 1 Help Guide Maintenance Replacing the Ribbon Car tridge Note: F or the best results, use genuine Oki rib bons. 1. Make sure the printer is turned OFF . 2. Centre the printhead ( ➊ ). Caution! T he pr inthead ma y be HO T! M P ➊ 3. Remo ve and discard the used ribbon cartridge.

4 ML3320/21 Correcting Repetitive Rear-Feed Jams If the paper ke eps jamming, you probably ha ve bits of paper stuck in the paper path. 1. Perform steps 1 through 3 under “Rear-F eed Jams. ” 2. Grasp the paper separator ( ➊ ), lift it slightl y , pull back on it, then swing it forward.
English 5 Help Guide 5. Remov e the paper pieces, and use the platen knob to back the paper out. 6. Swing the paper separator ov er , reload re gular paper , and lo wer the paper separator back into place. 7. Replace the pull-up roller assembly , and close the access cover .
6 ML3320/21 Single-Sheet Jams 1. T urn the printer off . 2. Use the platen knob to back the jammed paper out. 3. Open the access co v er and remov e the pull-up roller assembly . 4. Remo ve any tor n pieces from around the carr iage. 5. Reinstall the pull-up roller assembly , and close the access cover .
English 7 Help Guide Cleaning the Housing Y ou should clean the printer ev ery six months (or after about 300 hours of operation). Note: Never use solv ents or strong deter gents on the cabi- net: they could damage the housing. 1. T urn the printer off, and remov e any paper from the path.
8 ML3320/21 T r oubleshooting Pro blem: Nothing happens when I turn on the printer . Solution: Check the po wer cable connection and po wer outlet to your pr inter . If you are using a po wer strip, make sure it is turned on, and that the fuse has not blo wn nor the circuit breaker tripped.
English 9 Help Guide Pro blem: The ALARM light is on and the Character Pitch 15 light is flashing. Solution: This indicates a paper jam. Press the SEL ke y and correct the paper jam situation ( see “Clearing Paper Jams” earlier in this manual). Pro blem: The ALARM light is on and the Character Pitch 10 light is flashing.
10 ML3320/21 Problem: The Print Quality and Char acter Pitch keys on the front panel won’ t work. Solution: The Operator Panel Function in the printer menu can be used to disable these b uttons.
