If the following conditions are met for Mac OS X, it is not necessary to configure the prin ter driver , as th e configured option information is automatically taken from the machine.

Loading Paper and Documents -3 2- Loading Paper Y our machine has two built -in tr ays (tr ay 1 and the MP tra y) (MB441, MB461 and ES4161 MFP is Manual Feed er) and an opti onal tr ay (tr ay 2). The Op tional tra y (T ray2) is only a vai lable on MB461, MB471, MB471w , MB491, ES4161 MFP , and ES4191 MP .
Loading Paper and Documents -3 3- Setup 1 Loading Paper in Tr ay 1 and Tray 2 The following procedure explains how to load paper in tra y 1 or tr ay 2 (opti onal). Memo The following procedure us es tray 1 as an example but the same is applied to tray 2.
Loading Paper and Documents -3 4- 4 Flex paper back and forth, and then fan it. Straighten the edges of the paper stack on a level surface. 5 Load paper with the print side face down. Note D o not load paper above the fill line (3). 6 Push the paper tray until it stops.

Alternatively , if WPS push button for wireless AP is started first, start the WPS push button o n this equipment. If [ No ] is selected, the screen returns to that from step 6.

Connecting to a Computer -5 7- Setup 1 11 Click [ Add ]. If the [ You have no printers available ] dialog box appears, click [ Add ]. 12 Select the name of your machine whose [ Connection ] is [ AppleTalk ], and then check that [ OKI MB491(PS) ] is displayed in [ Print Using ].
Connecting to a Computer -5 8- 9 Click [ Default ]. 10 Select the name of your machine whose [ Kind ] is [ Bonjour ], and then check that [ OKI MB491(PS) ] or [ OKI MB491(PCL) ] is displayed in [ Print Using ]. The name of your machine is display ed with the format of "OKI-MB491- (the last six digits of the MAC address)".
Connecting to a Computer -5 9- Setup 1 8 Double-click [ Driver ] folder > [ PS ] or [ PCL ] folder [ Installer for Mac OSX ]. 9 Enter the administrator password, and then click [ OK ]. Follow the instructions displa yed on the screen to complete the installation.

Configuring the Net work Settings -6 4- Configuring the Network Settings This section describes t he setup required for using Scan T o E-mail, Scan T o Network PC, Scan T o F ax Server , Internet Fax functions. The above func tions enable you to send scanned data to a comput er via the network connection.
Configuring the Network Settings -6 5- Setup 1 Checking the Common Setup Information Check the common setup information for Scan T o E-mail, Scan T o Network PC, Scan T o F ax Serv er and Internet F ax, and fill in the corresponding columns of the Setup Information F orm.

Configuring Copy Settings -8 2- Making Duplex Copies (Duplex Copy) Y ou can copy 1-sided (simplex) and 2-sided (duplex) documents on to one side (s implex) or both sides (duplex) of a sheet of paper . Y ou can also sele ct the binding po sition from ei ther long- edge or short- edge binding.

Configuring Copy Settings -8 4- Resetting Copy Settings Auto Reset All settings you configured for your copy job return to their default val ues if no operation is made for a set period of time. The auto reset time is set to 3 minutes as the factory default setting.

Phone Book -9 3- F axing (for MB451, MB451w , MB471, MB471w , MB491, ES4191 MFP only) 3 Phone Book This section explains how to register fax number s in the phone book, and how to edit or delete registered numbers.
