Hole Punch Kit (P/N 42872902) Technician’s Installation Guide 1. Unpack the Hole Punch Kit and check the contents: [ 1 ] Hole Punch Unit [ 2 ]S a f e t y L a b e l s [ 3 ] Screw (for securi ng hole punch unit to finisher: see step 14 ) [ 4 ]O r a n g e C a b l e ( 4 l e a d s ) [ 5 ] Purple Cabl e (5 leads) 2.
2 5. Push in on the fi nisher relea se lever and slide the finisher awa y from the inverter . 6. Open the finisher front c over . 7. Squeeze the white locking tabs on the blue knob and pull it out of the finisher . 8. R emo ve the internal cover: a. Remo ve the two scr ews behind the cover .
3 9. R emove the screws securing the rear cov er ( t w o o n t h e l e f t s i d e [ a ] and one on the r ight side [ b ]), then remove the rear cover . 10. R emove the two screws at ei ther end of the hole punch blank. 11. Swing up the finisher top cov er ( 1 ) and lift out the punch blank unit ( 2 ).
4 12. R emov e the top of the blank unit: y ou need this to insta ll the hole punch unit . Store the bottom of the blank in case you ever remo ve the hole punch from the finisher . 13. Align the pins at either end of the hole punch unit with the holes in the finisher housing, then slide the hole punch unit into place.
5 17. Insert the or ange cable (4 le ads) into the connector on the hole punch unit board. 18. Insert the purple cabl e (5 lead s) into the connector on the hole punch unit board. 19. Snap open the four cable harnesses, then thread the two cabl es through the har nesses and snap each one s hut.
6 22. R einstall the back cover and secure it in place: two screws on the left side (a ) and one screw o n the right s ide ( b ). 23. R einstall the internal front cov er and secure it with four screws .
7 24. Push the blue knob back into place. 25. Close the finisher front cov er . 26. Apply the a ppropriate langua ge safety la bel: 27. Slide the finisher back into the inverter . Make sure it lo cks in place . 28. R eattac h the cable betw een the finisher an d inv erter and the finisher power cable.
30. T est the oper ation of the hole punch unit: a. With a suitabl e document open in a software application, select [File] → [Print]. b. Select the appro priate Oki printe r , then click [Properties]. c. Click the [Job Optio ns] tab. d. Under [Finisher], [Output Bin], select [Finisher(F ace-up)] or [Finisher(F ace-down)] from the drop-down list.
