2 Overview The Symbo l* wireless hand set is a V oice-over -IP (V oIP) p ortable telephone th at pro vides on -site wireless v oice c ommunicatio n capability .

The se features ar e only available if provisi oned on the Meridian 1 or Succession CSE 1 000 system.
6 Conf erence Y ou can set up a con ference cal l for up to six people, in cluding your self. Co ntact yo ur admini strator t o determine the maxim um number of people you r Meridian 1 system a llo ws o n a confere nce call. T o se t up a con feren ce call: 1 Press the FCT key while y ou are on a call.
7 Make Se t Busy The Make Set B usy feature causes your telephon e to appear busy to all incom ing calls, an d, if configured by you r administrato r , directs in c oming calls to your v oice mailbox. Y ou can acti vate this feature while you are on a call, a n d your te lephone will enter busy state once yo u end the call.
8 Call Forwar d The Call Forward feature allows you to direct your calls to ring at another ext ension. Y ou canno t forward call s while your telepho ne is ringin g. T o activate Call Fo rward: 1 Pre ss the FC T key . 2 Use the scroll keys (*<, ># ) or the V olume bu ttons to display CallFwd .
9 Call P ark The Call Pa rk feature allo ws a call to be held temp orarily and to be retrie ved fro m any teleph one. Y o u can park an incoming call and p age the calle d party . When you us e Call Pa rk, you do not tie up your exte nsion. T o park a tele phone ca ll: 1 Pre ss the FC T key .
10 Ring Again Use the Ring Agai n feature when yo u dial an extensio n and receive a busy tone or no an swer . The Ring Again fea ture notifies you w hen the pe rson you dialed ha s ended t heir call or when they ha ve used their teleph one. T o activate Ring Again: 1 W it hout endi ng the call, press the FCT ke y .
11 System Spe ed Call The System Speed Call feat ure allows you to make a call by dialing Speed Call codes which may ov e rride your telephon e’ s class of service restrictio ns. The Syste m Speed Call fea ture is se t up on the Meridian 1 syste m by your ad ministrato r .
12 Gro up Call The Group Ca ll feature automatically c alls members of a predefined grou p, one at a time , until they all have answered. Ask your admi nistrator for details on ho w t o create a conference call group. T o plac e a Group Call : 1 Pre ss the FC T key .
13 Call Pic k up The Call Pickup feature allows you to pick up a call that is ringin g at another extensio n in your pick up grou p. T o pick up a call: 1 Pre ss the FC T key . 2 Use the scroll keys (*<, ># ) or the V olume bu ttons to display CallPickup .
14 Retr ieve voice m ail me ssag es Y our teleph one prov ides you w ith an indication that a mes sage has been le ft on your voice messag ing system. T o retrie ve voice ma il messages: 1 When yo ur telephone disp lays Voice Mail , use the keypad to enter the extension used t o access your voice messa ging system.
