4 Insert the (U)SIM card and batt ery The USIM card is an enhanc ed version of the SIM card and is support ed by UMTS mobile phones. Keep all SIM car ds out of the reach of small childr en. Always switch the devic e off, and disconnect the charger bef ore r emoving the battery .
5 Switch the devic e on 1. Press and hold the power k ey ( ). 2. If the device asks f or a (U)PIN code or lock code, ent er it, and press . The fact ory setting for the lock code is 12345. Y our device has two internal antennas. Note: As with any r adio transmitting devic e, avoid touching an antenna unnecessarily when the antenna is in use.
6 Y our Nokia N73 normally has MMS, GPRS, streaming, and mobile Int ernet settings automatically c onfigured in the device, based upon your servic e provider or network operat or information. Press to open the main menu. Y our service provider may have r equested that certain featur es be disabled or not activated in your devic e.
7 Insert the memory card (sold separ ately) Use only compatible miniSD cards appr oved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry standards f or memory cards, but some br ands may not be fully compatible with this device. Inc ompatible cards may damage the car d and the device and corrupt data st ored on the card.
