Introduction The Nokia Wireless Plug-in Car Handsfre e (HF-6W) is an easy fit hands-free product, which is based on Bluetooth wi reless technology and powered with a digital signal processor (DSP). You can use the handsfree for call han dling and to charge a compatible Nokia mobile phone.
8 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 2. Get started Before you can start to use the handsfree, you must install the handsfree in the car, and pair a compatible phone with the handsfree.
9 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. Insert the handsfree into the cigarette lighter socket of your car as shown in Figure A or Figure B. Make sure that the hand sfree is properly locked in place, and does not interfere with the normal operation of the car.

The handsfree beeps, and the red indicator light is displayed briefly. ■ P air the handsfree with a phone The handsfree is specially designed for compatible Nokia phones that support Bluetooth wireless technology.
11 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. Disconnect the handsfree from the phone If you want to disconnect the handsfree from your phone (for example, to connect the phone to another Bluetooth device), switch off the handsfree, or disconnect the handsfree in the Bluetooth menu of the phone.
12 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 3. Basic use ■ Call functions To make a call, use your phone in the normal way. To redial the last dialed number, press the answer/en d key twice. To activate voice dialing, press the answer/end key until you hear a voice dialing tone.
