3 THE NIMBUS M N-800 TF REVERSE OSMOSIS TREATMENT SYSTEM The Nimbus MN-800 TF is the per fect system f or a wide variety of applicat ions. Features include stainless steel pressur e vessels, fram e and concentrate r ecirculation valve.

5 CONCENTRAT E RECIRCULAT ION VALVE: A needle valve that controls t he amount of concentrate fr om t he desalinator arr ay to be recirculat ed back into t he feed st ream. T his f eature allows for hig her recovery rates. Addit ionally, adjustment of t his valve regulates the pum p discharge pressur e.
6 ANCILLARY EQUI PMENT: The f ollowing items are also covered in this m anual to f orm a com plete water treat ment system. PRESSURE TANK: T he tank pr ovides storag e f or approximat ely 34 gallons of treated water at a pressure of 40 to 60 psi. REMOTE BY-PASS PANEL: This panel monit ors tr eated water TDS and st orage t ank pressur e.

12 §5.0 SYSTEM FLUSH A ND PERFORMANCE VERIFICA TIO N Although MN-800-TF system s are fully test ed at the f actory prior t o shipping, it is recommended t o flush and verify your system's perf orm ance on-site. §5.1 SYSTEM FLUSH AND O PERATI O N New membranes have a preservative on them that needs to be f lushed bef ore use.
13 • As a f inal check turn on the city water valve to the By-Pass Panel and check the plum bing for leak s. §5.2 PERFORM ANCE VERI F I CATI O N Factory test data is supplied with the system. To ensure optim um perf ormance, on-site data should be taken and com pared to the f actor y test data.

16 • Tag and disconnect the three t ubing connections on the desalinat or namely the f eed, concentrate and product . • Unsnap the desalinator r etainers and pull desalinator (s) out .

18 • Since the membr ane is new it will need to be f lushed and tested. Follow procedures outlined in §5.0 SYST EM FLUSH AND PERFORMANCE VERIFICATIO N. §7.4 PRE FILTER CA RBON CA RTRIDGE REPLA CEMENT • Befor e servicing, always disconnect power to the unit to avoid shock.
19 • Inspect sump f or crack s. Replace as necessary. • Lubricate O- ring with an appropriat e petroleum or silicone-based lubricant. Install O-ring into i ts seat in sump . • Install new carbon cartr idge with the white rubber ring up. • Replace sump by screwing it onto cap in a count er-clock wise direction (as viewed from top).

21 §9.0 A TTA CHMENTS §9.1 REMO TE BYPA SS SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS Indication – W hen water is requir ed even though RO pr oduct water of the desired q uality is not available. This unit allows f or the supply of feed water t o supplement the RO water requir ement.
22 §9.2 TDS MONITOR I NSTRUCTIONS Model TDS-2B TDS Monitor Part # 100860 The Nimbus T DS-2B TDS Monitor is desig ned to operat e within the Remote Bypass Unit of the Nimbus MN system. It is installed inside t he upper lef t corner of the Bypass Unit f rame and is connected to a tee f itting installed in the pr oduct water output line.
