4 How do I change the time of day and day of the week? From the main screen press MENU. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to highlight DA Y/TIME. Press SELECT . 26 When should I change the batteries? Only the model 9700i operates with batteries. The 9701i, 9715i and 9720i operate from power provided by your heating/cooling system. Generally the batteries will last 18-24 months. The thermostat will tell you when to change the batteries.
