The L CD2 180WG-LED displa y fur ther increases the display able color gamut by using a custom mo di- f ie d co lor filter on the blue sub-pixels r e ducing the amount of cyan that passes through. This has the ef fec t of incr e asing the blue gamut beyond that which is achievab le us ing a blue LED and st andard b lue filter .
Additionally , with traditional L CD displays, the na- tive white point of the b acklight sour ce is fix e d, and the white p oint is adjusted us ing look -up - t ab le s. Ther efore, the greyscale color tr acking of the displa y is often poor , esp ecially for very dark colors.
If necess ary , custom gamut s can be achieved by manual adjustment of the displa y us ing its ad- vanced 6-axis color hue and saturation contr ols. These controls allow the hue and satura tion of red, yellow, gr e en, cy an, b lue and magent a areas of the color gamut to be manipulated indep en- dently .
10 Bit Inte r f ace The L CD2 180WG-LED features a video input that suppor t s 1 0 bit digit al vide o using a single Dual- Link DVI c ab le . This means that the full capabili- ties of the 10 bit display can be realized without being restr ict ed to an 8 bit v ideo input source.
