3 Step 2 Using a Phillips scr ewdriver , r emove the screw securing the original base to the monitor as shown in Figure 2A . Remove and save the original base for possible futur e use.
Step 4 Locate the two scr ews that are supplied with the IntelliBase and attach the IntelliBase to the adapter plate and monitor as shown in Figure 2C . Pr oceed to Page 10 to connect your MultiSync ® monitor with the IntelliBase USB Hub to your system.
5 MultiSync ® Monitor Model Names MultiSync XE15, XE17, XP15, XP17, XV17, XV17+, A500, A500+ A700, A700+, A900, E500, E700, E900, E900+, M500, M700 and P750 Step 1 W ith the monitor unplugged fr om your system and wall outlet, car efully tur n the monitor upside down on a fir m table so that the base is facing up as shown in Figure 1 .
6 Step 3 Using a Phillips screwdriver , remove the scr ew securing the two base halves together as shown in Figure 3B . Retain the screw and black nylon washer for use in the next step.
Step 6 Locate the two screws that are supplied with the IntelliBase ™ and attach the IntelliBase to the adapter plate and monitor as shown in Figure 3E . Pr oceed to Page 10 to connect your MultiSync ® monitor with IntelliBase USB Hub to your system.
8 Step 2 Using a Phillips scr ewdriver , r emove the thr ee scr ews securing the original base to the monitor . Remove the base by sliding and lifting as shown in Figure 4A . Save these screws for use in Steps 6 and 7. Save the original base for possible futur e use.
9 Step 5 After the adapter plate has been attached to the base, snap the base assembly to the monitor . T o accomplish this, position all the locking tabs on the base so they mate with the holes in the monitor . Slide the base assembly in place as shown in Figure 4D .
10 Step 8 Locate the two scr ews that are supplied with the IntelliBase ™ and attach the IntelliBase to the adapter plate and monitor as shown in Figure 4G . Pr oceed below to connect your MultiSync ® monitor with the IntelliBase USB Hub to your system.
11 Step 2 Connect one end of the supplied USB cable to the USB input jack on the rear of the IntelliBase ™ (Detail B) and the other end to the USB output jack of your computer system (Detail A) as shown in Figure 6 .
12 Note: Steps 5-11 describe USB driver installation for the Windows ® 98 operating system. Other operating systems which suppor t USB may follow a dif ferent pr ocedure. Step 5 T ur n your computer on. The computer will automatically recognize your IntelliBase ™ .
13 Step 7 Select Search for the best driver for your device and then click the Next > button. Step 8 Click Next > button to select default driver location.
Step 9 Click on Next > button to install drivers. The Hardware Wizard will copy the necessar y files and install the drivers. 14 Step 10 Inser t the Windows ® 98 CD-ROM and then click OK. The requir ed files are copied fr om the W indows 98 CD-ROM.

18 T roubleshooting Ther e is a problem with the specific USB device. USB cable is not properly connected. The gr een USB indicator will light when the USB line is active. Using the same USB output por t, tr y substituting a different USB device. Make sure both ends of the USB cable are fully seated in the computer and IntelliBase.

26 Étape 4 Repér er les deux vis qui sont four nies avec l’IntelliBase, et fixer l’IntelliBase à la plaque adaptatrice et au moniteur comme illustré à la Figure 2C. Passer à la page 32 pour raccorder le moniteur MultiSync ® avec moyeu USB IntelliBase à votr e système.

29 Étape 6 Repér er les deux vis qui sont fournies avec l’IntelliBase mc , et fixer l’IntelliBase à la plaque adaptatrice et au moniteur comme illustré à la Figure 3E. Passer à la page 32 pour raccorder le moniteur MultiSync ® avec moyeu USB IntelliBase à votr e système.
30 Étape 2 À l’aide d’un tournevis à empr einte cr uciforme, r etir er les trois vis r etenant la base d’origine au moniteur . Retir er la base en la faisant glisser et en la soulevant comme illustré à la Figure 4A. Conser ver ces vis pour utilisation aux étapes 6 et 7.
31 Étape 5 Une fois la plaque adaptatrice fixée à la base, enclencher l’ensemble de base au moniteur . À cette fin, positionner toutes les pattes de blocage sur la base de manièr e à les assortir aux tr ous du moniteur . Fair e glisser l’ensemble de base en place comme illustré à la Figure 4D.
32 Étape 8 Repér er les deux vis qui sont fournies avec l’IntelliBase mc , et fixer l’IntelliBase à la plaque adaptatrice et au moniteur comme illustré à la Figure 4G. Passer à la section ci-après pour raccorder le moniteur MultiSync ® avec moyeu USB IntelliBase à votr e système.
33 Étape 2 Brancher une extrémité du câble USB fourni à la prise d’entrée USB située à l’ar rièr e de l’IntelliBase mc (Détail B) et l’autr e extrémité à la prise de sortie USB de votre système informatique (Détail A) comme illustré à la Figure 6.
34 Remarque : Les étapes 5 à 11 décrivent l’installation du lecteur USB pour le système d’exploitation W indows ® 98. Les autres systèmes d’exploitation qui supportent l’USB peuvent suivr e une procédure dif férente. Étape 5 Mettre l’or dinateur sous tension.

40 Dépannage Il y a un pr oblème avec le dispositif USB spécifique. Le câble USB n’est pas branché adéquatement. Le témoin lumineux USB ver t s’allume lorsque la ligne USB est active. En utilisant le même port de sor tie USB, essayer de substituer un dispositif USB dif férent.
