5 GA RA GE T O UC HPA D CO N TR OL S STAY But ton - Pre ss to arm system in the STAY mode. Peri meter device s such as window s and d oo rs w il l be protec ted, while interior protec tive devic es such as motion s ensors will be de-a ctiv ated, allowing free movement th roughout the premises.
6 ARMING WHEN LE AVING 1 Check the Garage Touchpad indicators. The green REA DY li ght should be ON-STE AD Y, ind ic atin g that the s ystem is read y to arm . • If the green RE ADY light is BLI NKING, this indicates that a zo ne is faulted. The READY light is blinking out the zone number of the open zone.
7 BYPASSING FAULTED ZONES If you are trying to arm with a faulted zone or zones, the green RE A DY light will be blinking out the nu mber of the faulted zones. If you cannot repair the zo ne(s), they may be temporarily removed from the system, or bypa ssed, using the fol- lowing procedur e: 1 Press the B Y P A S S butt on.
8 A R MING WHEN ST AYING HOME Arming in the Stay mode allow s you to remain home with the pe rimeter protection active and the in terior protection off, so that you may move freely about the premises. 1 Check the Ga rage Touchpad indicators. Th e green READY light should be ON-STEADY, indi cat ing that the system is ready to arm.
9 ARMING AND LE AV ING WIT H OTHERS STAYING 1 Check the Garage Touchpad indicators. The green READ Y light s hould be ON- STEADY, indicating that the system is read y to arm. • If the green READY light is BLIN KING, this indicate s that a zone is faulted.
10 EXITING WITH THE SYSTE M ALREADY ARMED 1 Press the STAY button on the Touc hpad. The ARM ED indicator will light and STAY will begin to flash, indicati ng that you have up to 3 minutes to exit through the garage a nd close the door. 2 Open the garage door f rom the inside.
11 EXITING WITH THE SYSTEM ALREADY A RMED 1 Press the AWAY button on the Touchpad. The AR M ED indicator will begin to flash, indicating that yo u have up to 3 m inutes to exit through the garage and close th e door. 2 Open the garage door from the inside.
12 EMERGENCY BUTTONS The Emergency Buttons, if programmed, are always active, whether the system is armed or disarmed. The Emergency Button must be Held Down for 3 seconds to activate the emergency alarm and transmit the signals to centr al station.
13 DISARMING T HE SYSTEM DISARMING WHEN RE TURNING HOME: W hen re turning home, o pening your garage door (by pressing A1 or A2 on your Keyfob) from the outside will automa tically disarm th e system . The red AR M E D light will go out and the green READY light w ill tu rn on.
14 If an alarm oc curs whi le you are at home: The Garage Touchpad siren will sound a nd the re d AR M E D light will flash. Proceed with cautio n ! If yo u suspect that an intruder may still be in the premises, leave immediately and call au th orities from a neighbor's telephone.
15 If a fire is detected, the siren will sound a distin ct pulsating tone and the FIRE indicator on the Ga- rage Touchpad will be flashing. If a Fire Alarm does occur: * Note: This feature m ay not apply to your system. Consult your in staller to det ermine if your system include s fire prote ction.
16 FIRE PROTECTION Preparing a Fire Escape Plan Even with the most advanced fire alarm system, ad equate protect ion requires an escape pl an. To prepare your plan, draw floor plans of your b uilding. Sho w two exits - a front or back door and a window from each room.
17 Your Freedom Alarm S ystem is c onstantly monitori ng its own component s, as well as al l critical s ervices, such as AC power and t he telephone line, t o insure that it is always ready to provide the protection for which it was desi gned.
18 SYSTEM TROUBLE ERROR CODES TBL Flashes / Touchpa d beeps RE ADY Flashes Trouble Condition Ac tion 6 NONE Lost Key Mode This is a reminder that the system has been put into the lost key mode ([STAY] & [AW AY] pressed simultaneously). While in this mode, the system can only be disarmed with your F-IFOB.

21 Lost Opener Mode In the event that your garage door remote control (or key that op erates your garage door opener) is lost or stolen, the system m ay st ill be used b y arming in the Lost Garage Door Opener Mode. In Lost Garage Door Opener Mode, the sy stem may be armed as usual, how- ever opening the garage door will not disarm the system.
