I DE N TI F I C A T I O N OF CON T RO LS FR ON T P A NE L 1 ST ANDBY BUTTON • Press this button to switch ON the VISO THREE from standby mode . The Standby LED indicator will turn from amber to blue . Pressing the ST ANDBY button again turns the unit back to standby mode.
6 REMOTE SENSOR Point the VR3 remote control at the r emote sensor and press the buttons. Do not expose the r emote sensor of the VISO THREE to a strong light source such as direct sunlight or illumination. If you do so, you ma y not be able to operate the VISO THREE with the r emote control.
A T TE NT ION ! Please make sure that the VISO THREE is po wered o or unplugged from the mains power source before making any c onnections. It is also advisable to power down or unplug all associated c omponents while mak ing or breaking any signal or A C power connections.
7 DAB MODULE INPUT (230V version only) The VISO THREE is compatible only with the NAD D AB Adaptor module models DB 1 or DB 2. • Plug-in the other end of the Mini-Din connec tor from the NAD D AB Adaptor module output port into this socket.

8 VOL • Press [ VOL ] button to increase or decrease the loudness level. Release the butt on when the desired level is reached . • The VFD on the front panel will indicat e the level set.
TUNER CONTR OL (use with NAD VISO THREE tuner section and other compatible NAD Receiver , AM/FM/DAB Tuner models) Set the DEVICE SELEC TOR to “ TUN” in order to gain access to these buttons . Refer to the corresponding labels printed in the remote control faceplat e and their respective assigned buttons to make use of these functions.
LI BR ARY The VR3 can store a dierent library of default NAD codes for each of its DEVICE SELEC TOR “pages. ” I f the original default library does not control your NAD CD player , D VD player , or other component, follow the procedure below to change the library code.
SE LE CT IN G S OU RCE S Desired source can be selected by repeat edly pressing [ SOURCE ] to step through the f ollowing sources: Internal CD Player iPod AM/F M/DAB USB Audio 1 Audio 2 Fr ont then back to I nternal CD Play er The same source can be directly selected using the VR3 remote control.
CD -R AN D C D- RW AUD IO DI S CS The VISO THREE can playback CD-R or CD-R W audio discs that have been recorded on a computer or CD r ecorder . The quality of CD-R or CD-R W audio discs varies widely which may aect playability . S ome factors that aect playability : • The quality of the disc itself.
The VISO THREE can play back MP3/WM A les stored in a USB memor y stick. The f ollowing are the VISO THREE’ s capabilities with respect to USB playability.
The VISO THREE’ s internal AM/FM tuner oers v er y high quality sound from radio broadcasts . The reception and sound quality will always be dependent to a degree how ever on the type of antenna(s) used as well as proximity to the broadcast origin, geog raphy and weather conditions.
AUTOM A T IC P RE SE T Pr eset stations may also be programmed automatically for the entire F M (or AM) band. 1 T oggle the [AM/FM/DB] button to select FM (or A M) band. 2 Pr ess and hold the [MEMORY ] button until the station frequency indication begins to increase .
O PE R A T I O N LI S TE NI NG TO DA B R A DI O Until now , analogue radio signals such as FM or AM have been subject to numerous kinds of inter fer ence on their way from the transmitter to your radio. These problems wer e caused by mountains, high-rise buildings and weather conditions.
DAB T UN ER MO D E Aside from “Full scan ” as already described above, pressing [ TUNER MODE] will also present you with other options namely - L ocal scan, Station order, Dynamic range, Manual tune, Prune list and DAB r eset. Use [ ] to step through these options.
2 T o selec t other channels, toggle [ ] to step through the channel list. Release [ ] when you hav e ar rived at your desir ed channel. Press [ENTER] to tune the selected channel.

The VISO THREE is equipped with a data port in the rear panel where an optional “NAD IPD Dock for iPod” (NAD IPD) can be plugged in. W ith the NAD IPD linking the VISO THREE with your own iP od player, y ou can enjoy listening to your fav or ite songs and playlists .
