IDENTIFICA TION OF C ONTROLS FRONT P ANEL 1 ST ANDBY LED: This indicator will light up amber when the C 426 is in standby state. When the C 426 is at ON state, this indicator will illuminate blue. This indicator will extinguish itself when the power cable is unplugged from the AC supply .
11 PRESET/TUNE C ONTROL KNOB: The func tion of this control knob depends upon the selected tuning mode via the PRESET/TUNE button. T oggle [PRESE T/TUNE] button to switch between “Preset” and “ Tune ” mode.
1 FM ANTENNA TERMINAL: Connect the supplied wire “ dipole” FM antenna to the F M antenna terminal using the supplied “ balun ” adapter . It will usually work best when mounted on a ver tical surface such as a wall, with arms fully outstretched f orming a hor izontal “ T ” perpendicular to the origin point of the signal.

The C 426 oers very high quality sound from radio broadcasts. The reception and sound quality will always be dependent to a degree ho wever on the type of antenna(s) used as well as proximity to the broadcast origin, geography and weather conditions .
ABOUT RDS The Radio Data System (RDS) permits sending small amounts of digital information using conventional F M radio broadcasts. The C 426 suppor ts two RDS modes, program-service name (PS mode) and radio-text (R T mode). Not every FM station incorporates RDS in its broadcast signal.
