IDENTIFICA TION OF C ONTROLS FRONT P ANEL 1 ST ANDBY BUTTON: With the rear panel POWER switch set to ON position, press this button to switch ON the C 165BEE fr om standby mode. The Standby LED indicator will turn from amber t o blue. Pressing the ST ANDBY button again turns the unit back to standby mode.
1 MC L OADS (R1, R2, R3): If you are using a Moving Coil (MC) cartr idge, set this switch to a r esistive load that closely approximates the value specied in the MC cartr idge (this is usually specied in the MC cartr idge). In general, use the lowest resistance f or low output cartr idges and high resistance f or medium output car tridges.
12 T APE MONIT OR IN/OUT: C onnections for analog recording and playback to a secondary audio tape recorder of any type. Using twin RCA-to-RCA leads, connect to the left and r ight “ Audio Output ” of the tape machine to the T APE MONITOR IN sockets for playback and tape monitoring.
19 POWER SWIT CH: The POWER switch supplies the master AC mains power for the C 165BEE. When this switch is at ON position, the C 165BEE is in standby mode as shown by the amber status condition of the standby LED . T oggle the front panel’ s ST ANDBY button to switch ON the C 165BEE or back to standby mode.
USING THE SR 8 REMO TE C ONTROL The SR 8 remote contr ol handset handles the key func tions of the C 165BEE as well as other NAD Stereo Receivers, Integrat ed Ampliers and Preampliers . I t has additional controls to r emotely operate NAD CD Players , AM/FM T uners and dedicated AM/F M/DAB T uners.
