4 19. Shut the e ngine off and wa it until th e blade comes to a comple te stop b efore remo ving the grass ca tcher or unclogg ing th e chute. The cuttin g blade continues to rotate for a few sec onds afte r the engi ne is sh ut off. Never pla ce any part of the body in the blade area unti l you are sure the b lade has stopped rotating.
5 General Service: 1. Never run an eng ine indoors or in a poorly ventil ated area. Engine ex haust contains carbon mon oxide, an odorless and dea dly gas . 2. Before cl eaning, repairing, o r insp ecting, mak e certain the blad e and al l movin g parts h ave stopped .

13 Sharpeni ng the B lade When shar pening the blade, follo w the orig inal angle of grind as a guide. It is ex tremely impo rtant that eac h cutting edg e receiv es an equal amount of grin ding to prevent an unbalanc ed blade. An unbalan ced blade will cause ex cessiv e vibrat ion when rotating at hi gh speed s.
