Throttle Control Lev er The throt tle contro l lever is locate d on the lef t sid e of the trac tor ’ s dash pan el. This lever contro ls the spe ed of the eng ine and, on so me mod els, when pushed a ll the way for ward, the ch oke control also. When s et in a given posit ion, the throt tle will maintain a unif orm engin e spee d.
Speed Control Le ver The sp eed contro l lever , locate d on the lef t sid e of the trac tor ’ s dash consol e, allows you to regulate the groun d spee d of the lawn trac tor. T o use, depress th e clutch-b rake peda l and move the lever out of th e parkin g brake notch and for war d to increase the t racto r’s ground spe ed.
Maintenance WA R N I N G ! Be fore pe rfo rming any maintenance or repair s, disenga ge PTO, move shift lever into ne utral positio n, set par king br ake, stop engine an d remove key t o preven t unint ended star ting. Cleaning Bat tery Clean the b atter y by remov ing it from th e trac tor and washing with a bak ing so da and water solu tion. If n ecessar y , scra pe the bat ter y terminals with a w ire brush to remove dep osits. Coat terminals and e xpos ed wirin g with grease or p etrole um jelly to prevent corrosion.
