2 2 Chapter 2 Getting Started In this chapter, we explain how to operate a V 481 computer from a PC. For clarity, the PC will be referred to as a “development workstation ,” and the V481 embedded computer will be called a “target computer.
V481 WinCE User ’ s Manu al Getting St arted Starting Your V481 Computer Connect the CRT monitor or LCD monitor to the targ et computer, and then power it on by connecting it to the power adaptor. It takes abou t 30 to 40 seconds for the system to boot up.
V481 WinCE User ’ s Manu al Getting St arted Resetting Your V481 Computer Reset button It may be necessary to reset the system if the com puter stops responding or an appl ication locks up. The reset button is located on the V481’s outer casing. After pressing the “R eset” button, the computer will boot up automatically.

V481 WinCE User ’ s Manu al Management T ools Process (Thread) Monitoring/Control The V481 comput er can manage up to 32 applicat ions at the sam e time. You can use the management system to moni tor and control the applicatio ns. To view acti ve processes, click t he Processes tab.
