3 1. Safety precautions s Before operating the unit, make sure you read all the “Safety precautions”. s “Safety precautions” lists important points about safety . Please be sure to follo w them. 4 W arning: • Do not remove the fr ont panel or the fan guard from the outdoor unit when it is running. Y ou could be injured if you touch r otating, hot or high- v olta g e parts. •N e ver insert fingers, sticks etc. into the intakes or outlets, otherwise in- jury may result, since the fan inside the unit rotates at high speed.
5 3. Maintenance Always ha ve filters serviced by a qualified contractor . Before maintenance, turn the power supply OFF . Caution: • Before start cleaning, stop operation and turn OFF the power supply . Remember that the fan is rotating inside at high speed, posing a serious risk of injury .
6 4. T r oubleshooting Before y ou ask for repair service, chec k the following points: Operation It does not run. Air flows out b ut it does not cool enough or heat enough. Cool air or warm air does not come out. It runs briefly , but soon stops. The sound of the ex- haust and rotation of the motor can still be heard after operation stops.
7 5. Installation, reinstalling, and maintenance Installation area Consult with your dealer f or details on installation and transferring the installation. Caution: Never install the air conditioner where there is a risk of leakage of flammab le gas. If gas leaks and accumulates ar ound the unit, fire can result.
