EN-2 Pr eparation/SetUp Preparation befor e using the network function This projector is equipped with the network function to contr ol and monitor the projector’ s operations using a W eb browser and to send e-mail notifi cation. Before using the network function, perform the following thr ee preparation steps.
EN-3 1 Copy three fi les (DI_4.1.3.3.msi, Setup.Exe, and Setup.Ini) contained in the T ools folder of CD-ROM to the hard disk of your personal computer . 2 Double-click the fi le named Setup.Exe. 3 When the following window appears, click Next. EN-6 5 Select [Obtain an IP address automatically] and click Next. 6 Click Next. • Check that the options are marked with check- marks as shown on the right. Keep them un- changed for normal use. 7 Click Assign. 8 Click Finish. 9 Click the Search button.
EN-7 5 Select [Assign a specifi c IP addr ess] and click Next. 6 Enter a fi xed IP addr ess (for example, 192.168.0.1) and click Next. (Note) Do not use 0 or 255 for the last digit of the IP address. 7 Click Assign. 8 Click Finish. 9 Click the Search button.
EN-8 1 Start the Projector -Control Device Installer . • Select [Start] - [All Pr ograms] - [Projector] - [Projector -Control Device Installer] (in the case of Windows ® XP). 2 Press the + buttons on the left pane to expand the tree structur e until the IP address you set appears.
EN-9 1 Enter “0” and press the Enter key . 2 Input the old (current) passwor d and press the Enter key . (Default password is admin.) • If you input a wrong passwor d, an error message appears and the setting menu is displayed again. In this case, set the password again.
EN-10 1 Enter “3” and press the Enter key . 2 T o enable the e-mail notifi cation function of Projector - View , enter 1 and press the Enter key . (Default is OFF (0).) EN-14 ProjectorView (continued) VIRTUAL REMOTE contr oller Put a checkmark in the box of the Virtual remote enabled on the Pr ojectorView main screen, and click the VIRTUAL REMOTE button. EN-15 Initial setting T o load information on the pr ojector such as model name and lamp operating time, set the pr ojector data in advance. Click the SETUP button on the ProjectorView main scr een. The Projector Setup screen appears. Enter data according to the description of each setting item.
EN-16 Support for the PJLink™ function This projector supports standar d protocol PJLink ™ for projector contr ol and you can control and monitor pr ojector’ s operations using the same application among projectors of dif ferent models and differ ent manufacturers.
EN-17 [Notes on Instant Shut Down] Instant shutdown of the projector during contr ol using the network function may cause ProjectorView to fail to display data correctly .
