EN-13 2 1 2 1 Viewing computer images A. Connecting the pr ojector to a computer Preparation: • Make sure that the power of the pr ojector and that of the computer are turned off. • When connecting the projector to a desktop computer , disconnect the RGB cable that is connected to the monitor .
EN-14 1. Plug the attached power cor d into the power cord inlet of this projector . 2. Plug the other end of the power cor d into a power outlet. • The power cords for use in the U.S. and Eur ope are included with this projector . Use the appropriate one for your country .

EN-18 Connecting to video equipment having a DVI-D terminal Y ou can project high-quality images by connecting the DVI-D terminal of this projector to video equipment having a DVI-D output terminal. In addition, this projector supports HDCP and is able to r eceive encrypted digital video data that are output fr om DVD players.

EN-28 Adjusting pr ojected images T o adjust the brightness (CONTRAST and BRIGHTNESS): Y ou can make adjustments for the brightness of the projected image using the menu. (See page 23 for menu setting.) 1. Display the IMAGE menu. 2. Select CONTRAST or BRIGHTNESS by pressing the S or T button.

EN-30 Adjusting pr ojected images (continued) This projector automatically selects a pr oper signal format according to the type of video signal supplied from the computer . However , video signals from the computer may not be projected corr ectly depending on the types of the computer and images to be projected.

EN-36 Supervising and contr olling by computer Y ou can supervise and control the projector’ s operation using a personal computer via a LAN network. • T o supervise and control the pr ojector , install the software “Projector -Control Device Installer *” contained in the attached CD-ROM.

EN-38 Replacing the lamp This projector is equipped with a lamp to pr oject images. This lamp is a consumable. It may bur n out or its brightness may decrease during use. In such cases, r eplace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible. Be sure to replace the lamp with a new lamp separately sold that is exclusive to this projector .
EN-39 T o replace the lamp: 1. Unplug the power cord. 2. Loosen the screw (a) using a Phillips screwdriver (+), and remove the lamp cover (b). 3. Loosen the screws (c) using a Phillips screwdriver (+). 4. Pull the handle. 5. Pull out the lamp box by the handle while holding the projector .
EN-40 Maintenance W ar ning: • Never use fl ammable air duster or other materials when cleaning the air -fi lter . Flammable substances may ignite causing fi r e or backdown when the lamp is illuminated. • Do not use fl ammable solvents (benzene, thinner , etc.
